Wat is de BetonKanoRace?
De BetonKanoRace is een jaarlijks evenement voor en door studenten civiele techniek en bouwkunde. Het is een unieke race met zelfgemaakte kano’s van beton, waarbij studenten laten zien dat er meer mogelijkheden zijn met beton dan het maken van funderingen, vloeren en kolommen. Honderden enthousiaste studenten werken maandenlang aan het bouwen van een kano die snel, duurzaam en innovatief is. De BKR is daardoor een activiteit waarbij onderwijs, technologie, gezelligheid en sport aan elkaar gekoppeld worden. Een combinatie van domme kracht en slimme ideeën.
What is the ConcreteCanoeRace?
The ConcreteCanoeRace is an annual event organised by and for students of architecture, building engineering and civil engineering. It’s a unique race where teams race each other on the water in self-built canoes made of concrete, showing that there are more possibilities with concrete than the usual foundations, floors and columns. Hundreds of enthusiastic students work for months to built the fastest, most innovative and most sustainable canoe. The CCR thus is an event where education, technology, social relations and sports meet. A combination of stupid strength and smart ideas.
